I really thank God that I took Four years doing my undergraduate. God graced me to finish my Degree(BSc) in Computer science. During this period I realised my career and did all it took, This meant missing sleep just to download tuitorials and learn programming languages. This helped me to begin doing projects for my colleagues which gave me a nice experience. I executed over ten(10) projects hands on coding and every project was an improvement of the previous one.
Teamworking is my passion, I love to see people that I lead growing beyond me, they motivate me to work harder and in the process I acqure more skills. I enjoy doing Mentorship programs, Once you have passion then nothing can stop you,I use that passion to introduce skills and ability in you so that you can satsfy your passion as well. I remember back in the campus, I did lots of mentorship programs both in Computer Club and Christian Union. This has made me proud that today I meet the same people happy of whom they have become.
I love spending time with friends, they add a lot of value to my personality, I love the learning dynamics that exist between different people, I appriciate the different backgrounds that we a have come from. That is cultural, social and religious backgrounds. I am who I am because of the type of friends that I have chosen. Today I can successfully develop a software project, But I owe it to great friends who helped me in my scratch projects. I have also learnt ministry from great friends too.
Worshiping God through music is what I am. Find me during weekends when am far from my laptop and all I have to do is to hold my piano, Guiter[both solo ans Base] and lift my voice to my creator. What else can separate me from the love ov God? [ James 38:38-39 ], This refreshes both my spirit and body after a heavy week of debugging my codes.I do music trainings both for instruments and vocals and am also a member of gospel band in this city. You can visit me on Facebook of more infomation.
This was my first fundamental and important skill I learnt as a web designer. This skill started my web designing journey as a beginner. It gave me knowledge of how the web works and create web pages effectively.
This is a prominent language and a second basic skill that I learnt as a web designers. It strengthened the designs and converts HTML codes into the formatted web page that one views on a website. It enables my applications interact more effectively with the design and reduces overall file sizes with loading times.I later on learnt Bootstrap which helped me in developing responsive mobile websites quickly and easily.
I actually never had a passion in photography, But after I developed my first website, I realised that there was a need for this, and I opted to be aquited with some tools such as.
The Photoshop is powerful tool that I use to create gradients, pattern and angles for websites and also Edit website Images.
Almost all my development life I have interacted with the MYSQL database. This is because it is an open source and also easy to work with. I later on changed my norm and decided to handle a different database altogether. Oracle database was the second one. I went to class and learnt the Oracle SQL querries only to realise that they are basically the same with a minimal difference in syntax.
The Ms access was my first microsoft database to work with when I begun with VB6. I later on downloaded Miscrosoft Web platform(IIS)which improved my skills with microsoft servers. This motivated me to go for Ms Server. I developed an interest in Ms server when I began programming with VB.NET and I had to host these applications on the MS server. I also interacted closely with this server when I was doing my internship at the Office of controller of Budget
After I learnt webdesign skills, I was not satsified yet. I thought about developing Web based systems, I remember my first project, I did a php hard coding, I realised this is taking alot of time and was not accurate and was insecure, I begun learning about frameworks such as Code Ignighter and Yii, after I understood M-V-C structures, I enjoyed php programming upto date.
When I begun developing desktop applications, VB6 was my road to this, I did alot of projects with this language until I cought up with the VB.NET framework which helped me to develop most advanced softwares. One day I spent 48 Hrs without eating neither getting outsite my room just because of programming.I was working on a church System that manages offerings,Project money and tithes. I designed database and jumped to interphase and at the 48th hour I walked slowly in my dirty cloths towards class to show my collegues what I had made. It was increble but that was a skill added in my Head.
I have a long experience of Programming in Java, I started doing this from scratch and ran crazy about it. This is the skill that I have used more video tuitorials than any other skill. It sunk in me to an extend that I begun to shoot tuitorials about Java Programming topics and posted them on youtube and they got lots of Views. I knew Job when we joined campus, He is a man that will die for coding, He has really helped us in class with coding, His resoaning was incredibly acurate and will debug a code with his eyes. He has shot tuitorials that almost the whole school enjoys watching..." James Njoroge, Programming
Job has been my student that has made me proud day after the other, he is always optimistic and ready to face new challenges. As a department he has challenged us in many areas when he became a computer club leader. we wish him all the best in his carreer... Philip Kamau, HOD computer science[P.U.E.A]
